Return from Lockdown #2

With the announcement from the government, we are now awaiting confirmation of opening from Trafford Leisure. Staff are back in working on preparing the course and further information will be circulated by Trafford Leisure when the opening is confirmed. Members will be able to book in advance of the public for a limited period and normal competition booking slots will be available at the weekends when opened.

Are You Missing Golf Competitions

Altrincham Golf Club has competition golf every Saturday and Sunday all year round yet some of you are missing out. Have you paid a membership fee and still not played in competitions? As part of the 7-day membership,  you have access to play in club competitions, gain a handicap, win prizes,  take part in team games, pairs comps and even fun away trips including an annual away trip organised by our committee. Contact the club on the contact page and find out how to book in and join the fun at weekends.

Tom Window Invitational 2020, Saturday 29th August

Altrincham Golf Club is honoured to announce the naming of our 2020 Invitation day as the Tom Window Invitational 2020. We hope those members signed up will enjoy the day celebrating family golfing memories as we make some new ones along the way.  We are oversubscribed for the day so a reserve list will be held by competition organiser Roy Dickens. Registration on the day is open from 9:30 am.

Invitation Day Lite 2020

Altrincham Golf Club will run Invitation Day Lite on August 29th, 2020. Members have really stepped up to show their support for the club filling the tee sheet within just three days. Though some of the grand prizes like the car won last year with a hole in one on the 3rd won’t be available, there will be many other smaller prizes to take home if you have a winning score.

Are You Still Waiting for Memberships

As like most golf clubs,  Altrincham Golf Club has seen a great deal of interest in new and returning members since the easing of the lockdown and opening of the course in May. Altrincham Golf Club welcomes the interest in joining our club. However, Trafford Leisure is responsible for the running of the membership schemes and they are currently not taking new memberships or members returning to the club.  As a club, we would encourage you to contact the Trafford Leisure management team directly,  as they will be able to respond to your questions.

Competition Golf Returns

Following on from the work of our volunteers and Trafford Leisure staff preparing the course for a safe return to playing golf, we are now in the process of reintroducing competition golf in the form of AGC’s the weekend of the 30th May. This will give staff, members and committee the opportunity to exercise the new process in place to enable a full & safe return to competitive golf.

Course Open

Although it has taken a little more time than we would’ve liked, the team at Trafford Leisure has managed to reopen the course to members on the 16th May and the public from 18th May.

For bookings contact Trafford Leisure Customer Hub

Course Remains Closed

Unfortunately, we are still awaiting an announcement from Trafford Leisure as to when and how the course will be opened.

This is disappointing to all members and visitors alike and we appreciate you understanding during this challenging time but we hope to be back on the course real soon.

To those that are able to play other courses today, welcome back and play safe.

A Slow Return for Golf

Volunteers are taking to the course today and tomorrow trying to help the limited staff spend time on the heavy machines. Although golf may be played in a restricted format from Wednesday 13th May, there is yet to be confirmation of the course opening for business from Trafford Leisure.

Many thanks to all the volunteers and those that will be working again tomorrow.
